Temple service provides a space for friends and members of Ile Orunmila Oshun and our wider community to learn about orisha and worship together. Each month has teaching on a different topic. We are children of the Earth. All the food we need for nourishment and the medicine we need for healing is generously provided by Our Mother the Earth. She gives us flowers to express beauty and jewels to adorn ourselves. In this session, Teish will discuss our relationship to Spirit and the Earth and share some of her Earth Reverence rituals. This is one of three sessions offered by Luisah Teish this winter. Single sessions are $25. Three sessions for $60. Presented by Baba Esuwemimo (Donald Sturman), a priest of Esu. The Orisha are Divine Forces of Nature. In this class you will learn beyond the basics of who the Orisha are; moreover, you will learn how the Orisha manifest in the world. This class offers a unique look at Orisha Tradition within the indigenous Yoruba culture of Nigeria in West Africa. You will also get the opportunity to learn some songs and dance steps to deepen your understanding. Come sing, dance, learn, and praise the Divine Forces of Nature!

Description: Back to basics is the theme of PantheaCon this year and having the unconditional support of our Ancestors or Egun in Yoruba Culture, is about as basic as it gets. It is a fundamental human right to learn how to communicate effectively with one's Egun and many indigenous traditions already have models in place to facilitate communication with the Ancestors. Come learn the tools, technology, and methodology of the ancestral traditions of the Yoruba People of Southwest Nigeria. We will cover identifying, filtering, building your altar, uses, adoption issues, etiquette, protocol, and protection while working with the honored Ancestors. Presented by Luisah Teish.
